How much does it cost to file taxes in Ontario?
2026-05-23 · 6 min read · Tax Everyday, Vaughan
A basic personal tax return in Ontario usually costs $70 to $160 at a firm. Corporate work elsewhere is commonly $1,200 to $2,500 when the books are not ready.
At Tax Everyday a straightforward personal T1 is $90 plus 13% HST. A self-employed return is $650 plus HST. The corporate package is $2,000 plus HST. You know the price before we start.
What changes the fee
The invoice follows the work, not a mystery hourly clock.
- Employees with T4s, a few T5s, and standard credits: $90 + HST.
- Self-employed returns with a T2125: $650 + HST.
- The corporate package — T2, statements, and HST support — is $2,000 + HST.
- A numbered corporation is $850 + HST. A named corporation is $950 + HST.
- Extra only when the job changes: multi-year catch-up, a CRA review, or a reorganization. We tell you before we do that work.
What to have ready
Bring photo ID, last year’s Notice of Assessment, and every slip: T4, T4A, T5, T4E, RRSP receipts, tuition (T2202), childcare, medical, and donations. Self-employed clients need income records and expense totals, ideally already in a spreadsheet.
You can upload those from the personal tax form or the file drop. Virtual filing is the default; the Vaughan office at 3300 Steeles Ave W is open every day from 8 to 8 if you would rather sit down with someone.
