Incorporation

Online incorporation in Canada, without the paperwork fog

2026-03-14 · 5 min read · Tax Everyday, Vaughan

Online incorporation is the same legal act as a paper filing. The articles still create a separate person, with its own name, directors, and shares. Doing it online only changes the queue, not the facts the registry checks.

Tax Everyday’s named-corporation fee is $950 + HST. You complete the mandatory fields — name, jurisdiction, registered office, directors, shares, incorporator — and we prepare and file. A NUANS name search is part of a named filing; a numbered company skips the name but is harder to put on a storefront.

After the certificate

Start with the incorporation form. If a field is not on it, the registry does not need it to create the company.

  • Open a corporate bank account with the articles and a director’s ID.
  • Register a CRA business number, then HST or payroll only if you actually need them.
  • Issue the shares the articles authorized and write them into the minute book.
  • Put the first organizational resolutions in that book. A corporation with no records is how people lose the liability protection they paid for.
